Amanda Gordon Redmon

Amanda Gordon-Redmon is a public health and aging services leader with experience across healthcare systems, Medicaid programs, and community based initiatives serving older adults and vulnerable populations.

She served in a state level role with the NC Department of Health and Human Services, where she supported long term services, care transitions, program compliance, and systems coordination for Medicaid beneficiaries. Her previous work included healthcare quality and performance improvement with UNC Health, as well as grant funded community health initiatives through a regional Area Agency on Aging, where she led equity focused vaccination and nutrition programs for underserved older adults.

Amanda also served as an Adjunct Instructor in gerontology, bringing an academic and cross cultural perspective on aging. Her background in healthcare finance, medical economics, and revenue cycle analytics gives her a strong data informed lens on systems improvement and access to care. She also founded Aging Transitions, an initiative that connects individuals and family caregivers to community organizations and resources that support navigating the aging process.

She earned a Master of Science in Gerontology from UNC Greensboro, a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in Social and Economic Justice from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Amanda is passionate about mental wellness, caregiver support, and building systems that allow individuals and families to live with dignity, purpose, and connection. Her service on the Board of Directors for The Mettle and Moxie Collective reflects her commitment to advancing self care, community resilience, and whole person well being
