Iβm so glad youβre here, I hope youβll stay a whileβ¦
Who is Ovie?
Iβm a North Carolina born and raised, summer baby, whoβs favorite place is anywhere near the ocean. Iβm an only child, mother to 3 amazing humans and Gigi to my favorite little person. I am also the Creator and Host of Yeahβ¦But Are You Listening??? podcast and the Founder of The Mettle & Moxie Collective, Incorporated.
Iβve always believed in the power of conversation and connection, something that didnβt serve me well as a kid and often landed my desk next to the teacher. From being the little girl who never met a stranger and befriended her teachers to building a professional life rooted in public service, meaningful connections have always been my center. Life experiences, growing faith, and a deep commitment to helping others navigate challenges has shaped my voice, my work and my lifeβs purpose. I believe growth requires honesty, courage, and the willingness to be present, even when itβs uncomfortable. As a result, I found my tribe while overcoming obstacles, setting boundaries and challenging others to #DoItScared.
The Mettle & Moxie Collective, Inc.
The Mettle & Moxie Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to support people navigating connection, purpose discovery, and self-care. As the Founder, I wanted to create spaces for courageous conversations, intentional growth, and communal care; built on the belief that strength and vulnerability can coexist.
The Collective is a place to get educated, be transparent, challenged, and supported; where doing it scared isnβt a weakness, but a way forward. Through connection and shared experiences, the Mettle & Moxie Collective is about creating impact that extends beyond the individual and into the community.
Yeahβ¦But Are You Listening?
podcast was born during the stillness and uncertainty of COVID-19, when long walks, reflection, and listening became lifelines. What started as a personal leap of faith evolved into a platform for storytelling, truth-telling, and collective healing.
The podcast creates space for real conversations, stories of growth, grief, resilience, and triumph, while giving voice to experiences that often go unspoken. As part of The Mettle & Moxie Collective, the podcast invites listeners to not just hear the conversation, but to truly listen, reflect, and grow together.
