Dr. Tauchiana Williams
Dr. T is a trained psychotherapist with a License in Clinical Social Work. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wellesley College, Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Doctorate in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. She is committed to empowering individuals, partners, parents, and families through supporting mental health and well-being. Her 20+ years of clinical experience includes individual therapy, parent coaching, school social work and intensive family therapy.
Dr. Williams has vast experience in helping clients of varying age, gender, race, ethnicity, life stage, and sexual orientation who are navigating a variety of life transitions, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and depression. She works with clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
Dr. Williams’ research areas include Black parent engagement and involvement, with a focus on barriers and facilitators that impact student success. In addition, she has provided interventions for substance use prevention, training on anti-racist practices and workshops for radical self-care and compassion fatigue.
