Samuel Perkins, LCMHC, LPCC, is the Founder and CEO of House of Wellness Counseling, a mental health practice built on the belief that wellness is a journey and that healing becomes possible when people are given the right tools, support, and environment to grow.
With more than a decade of experience in the mental health field, Samuel works with individuals, couples, athletes, and high-performing professionals seeking to strengthen their mental, emotional, and relational health. His approach emphasizes holistic wellness, recognizing the connection between mental health, physical health, meaningful relationships, and personal responsibility in the healing process.
Samuel earned his Master’s degree in Counseling from North Carolina Central University and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Beyond his clinical practice, he is actively engaged in community mental health advocacy, partnering with schools, colleges, and organizations to promote conversations around mental health, resilience, and personal growth. Through speaking engagements and community initiatives, he works to make mental health conversations more accessible and practical for everyday life.
Samuel is also the host of Grounded Talks with House of Wellness, a podcast focused on real conversations about mental health, personal development, and navigating the challenges of life while pursuing a healthy and balanced life.
A core aspect of Samuel’s work is creating space for individuals who wish to explore the connection between faith and mental health. While House of Wellness serves people from all backgrounds and belief systems, Samuel is passionate about helping individuals who desire it integrate faith into their healing journey within a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
At the heart of his work is a simple philosophy: healing is not a destination but a process. Samuel is passionate about helping individuals discover the “how” of healing—equipping them with the tools and strategies needed to move forward with clarity, resilience, and hope.
